March 19-23
I hope you had a great spring break! Friday is our Field Trip to the Zoo. We are really excited to see the animals. Don't forget to bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable shoes.
This week we are learning:
Math: how to collect, analyze, and display data in a talley chart, pictograph, and bar graph.
Reading: how to identify author's purspose and create images in our heads while reading.
Social Studies: how to protect our environment.
Science: animal habitats

We will Miss You!
Friday was Ms. Stowe's last day! We will miss you. Thank you for teaching our class this semester. We wish you the best and hope you have fun teaching First Grade next!
March 5-9th
This week we are studying:
Math: two dimensional and three dimensional shapes and sorting them according to their attributes. We will take our Unit 8 Math test on Thursday.
Reading:
We will review different genres and making inferences about our reading. We will work on creating images in our minds and summarizing texts. We will focus on Poetry and Biographies
Social Studies: how to work together in a team.
Science: Animal Adaptations
Upcoming Events:
March 5th: Open House 5:30-7:00
March 12-16 Spring Break
March 23rd-Field Trip to Ft. Worth Zoo
We will need chaperones for the field trip. If you are interested please let me know. You will need to fill out a criminal history sheet for a background check.
